A high efficiency 1343 nm Nd:LuVO4laser in-band pumped at 916 nm

Abstract: A high efficiency 1343 nm Nd:LuVO4 laser in-band pumped at 916 nm is demonstrated for the first time. By using an all-solid-state Nd:LuVO4 laser operated at 916 nm as the pump source, 1.12 W output power was obtained with 2.3 W absorbed pump power. The corresponding slope efficiency was 61.9%, which is the highest among Nd:LuVO4 lasers operating at 1343 nm, to the best of our knowledge.
