A highly selective and sensitive fluorescent chemosensor for Zn2+based on a diarylethene derivative

Abstract: A promising photochromic fluorescent chemosensor1olinked with Schiff base unit was synthesized and the sensitivity test of1otoward Zn2+has been performed with detection limit up to 8.10 × 10−8M without any interference from Cd2+.

“…The result is far below the acceptable limit (7.0 × 10 −6 mol L −1 ) in drinking water defined by WHO. Compared with those of Zn 2+ sensors reported previously, [ 40,69–78 ] the LOD was the lowest (Table 1), indicating that the sensor 1o for Zn 2+ was high sensitive.…”

“…As one type of logic devices, logic circuit with multiple input and output signals has been designed delicately and shows great potential in logic operations. [35][36][37][38][39] As mentioned above, varying degrees of gating photochromic properties were realized by the introduction of Cu 2+ and Ni 2+ to the methanol solution of compound DTEP. On this basis, a smart logic circuit (Fig.…”

“…The isomerization of C]N bond was inhibited, which increased the rigidity of the molecule, resulting in the chelation enhanced uorescence (CHEF) effect. 73 The uorescence switching property of 1o 0 was also investigated. As shown in Fig.…”
