A hybrid virtualized environment for clouds

Abstract: Cloud environment has emerged as a tool that can provide on demand access to resources that meet high computing power and storage capacity for scientific applications. However some difficulties remain, particularly regarding performance. The cause is not related only to the virtualization layer, but also to the type of application handled by this layer. In this work we present the importance of this relationship and how a hybrid virtual environment can contribute to reduce the loss in performance.
