A Kinetic Theory for the Motion of Accelerated Particles in Solids. II. Dechanneling in Complex Crystals

Abstract: Models for the energy and angular distributions of the yield produced byRutherford backscattering of fast ions and nuclear reaction products in the case of multiatomic crystals are suggested based on calculation of a generalized kinetic equation. Expressions for coefficients of this equation are obtained. The possibilities of the approach suggested are illustrated by interpreting experimental data on proton dechanneling in tungsten bronzes.
