“…Tuberculous etiology has been frequently suggested, but it is unclear whether this condition represents active ocular TB or a hypersensitivity reaction manifested on the retina. The appearance of this patient's retina was typical of that described with Eales' disease: perivascular cuffing, a "periphlebitis," predominantly in the peripheral retina with some exudates and areas of venous occlusion (6). In later stages of the disease, neovascularization can occur with risk of vitreous hemorrhage and blindness.…”
