A massive pericardial effusion in South Africa is not always due to tuberculosis

Abstract: The electrocardiogram showed a sinus tachycardia with microvoltage. The chest X-ray revealed an increased CTR (Figure 2), and on echocardiogram had evidence of a cardiac tamponade ABSTRACT South Africa (SA) has a high incidence of tuberculosis.
