A model for strengthening the economic and social viability of the family

Abstract: Governments should support and encourage — not duplicate, replace or complete with — community‐based family support programs. Investments in parenting, literacy and job training are the key to revrsing welfare dependency, reducing urban violence and creating a more adaptable, competitive work force.
