A multiresonance method for measuring the reflection coefficient in a waveguide

Abstract: A new method for measuring the complex reflection coefficient in rectangular waveguides using a scalar network analyzer is proposed. This method is based on measurements of the resonance characteristics of a quasi-resonator, i.e., a portion of the waveguide between a reflecting object on one side and an object with a known scattering matrix on the other side.
