A multisection‐feed multiband notch antenna for most wireless standards

Abstract: This paper presents an unsophisticated compact straight notch with an optimized multisection feed. The design principle invokes the notch's first two resonant modes to set the operating bands. Then, two integrated capacitors and a multisection feed are fine‐set through a “quick” optimization process to cover GSM900 up to Wi‐Fi/5 GHz bands under S11 ≤ –10 dB.
