Abstract:An electronic neural network, implemented in VLSI-based hardware, for the Euclidean distance minimization problem is described. The convergence properties of the neural network hardware are investigated and compared with computer simulation results. The neural network's ability to quickly find the ltbestll or a agoodtv solution is demonstrated. The effect of noise on the circuit dynamics and the convergence behavior of the neural network hardware is also examined.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
