A new and accurate continuum description of moving fronts

Abstract: Abstract. Processes that involve moving fronts of populations are prevalent in ecology and cell biology. A common approach to describe these processes is a latticebased random walk model, which can include mechanisms such as crowding, birth, death, movement and agent-agent adhesion.
