A New Class of Morphological Pyramids for Multiresolution Image Analysis

Abstract: We study nonlinear multiresolution signal decomposition based on morphological pyramids. Motivated by a problem arising in multiresolution volume visualization, we introduce a new class of morphological pyramids.
