A new Conceptual Study to Establish Holistic Material Recycling Infrastructure Utilizing Maritime Transportation System

Abstract

The basic recycling law named " basic law ofproceeding the recycling society " ， which contains several individual laws， has passed in May 2000 and it will be into effect from April 2001． Japan will then finally start building new recycling society for the future ． However ， there is no holistic system proposed yet ． Therefere ， it is time to establish idea！maritime transportation system ． In order to build ideal recycling society ， a new maritime transportation to accornmodate the new recycling society is proposed ． The maritime transportation can accommodate more flexible disposition of recycling factory than that of truck transportation ． The new rnaritime transportation syste 皿 will reduce the impact to environment and will diminish the total emission of CO2 gas up to 1／ 3 comparing truck transportation ・
