A New Local Time-Step Scheme for Hybrid Finite Difference/Finite Volume Method

Abstract: In this paper, a novel local time-step scheme for hybrid time-domain method combing finite difference and Cell-Centered finite volume method is put forward. This scheme leads to satisfied results and high efficiency with no special requirement for meshes. The principles of the hybrid method and numerical schemes are described and applied to solve three dimensional electromagnetic scattering problems.
