A new moving boundary model for evaluating the performance of wet fins: Application to minichannel evaporators

Abstract: In this paper, firstly, an innovative numerical model (Fin1D-MB) for wet fins of a minichannel evaporator was developed and verified. The proposed model is based on fin theory in conjunction with the moving boundary (MB) technique between wet and dry portions along the fin height.
