Abstract:The Marsdenia tenacissima, has been used as traditional Chinese medicine for six hundred years. Our chemical investigation on the stem of Marsdenia tenacissima led to the isolation of one new pregnane glycoside, namely, marsdeoside J (compound 1) and twelve known compounds. The structure of the new compound was elucidated by spectroscopic analysis including 1D and 2D NMR, HRESIMS, IR, and UV.
