Abstract: Lichens are (Permotrema parlatum) a symbiotic association of algae and fungus belonging to the family Parmeliaceae. Some of lichen species are consumable and used as an active ingredient for preparation exotic spices as well as folklore medicine to cure different kind of ailments.
