A New Reversible Thermosensitive Liquid–Solid TENG Based on a P(NIPAM‐MMA) Copolymer for Triboelectricity Regulation and Temperature Monitoring

Abstract: Intelligent and highly precise control of liquid–solid triboelectricity is of great significance for energy collection and electrostatic prevention. However, most of the traditional methods are irreversible and complex, greatly limiting their applicability. Here, a reversible thermosensitive liquid–solid triboelectric nanogenerator (L–S TENG) is assembled based on P(NIPAM‐MMA) (PNM) copolymer for tunable triboelectrification. Through temperature regulation, the conformation between acylamino and isopropyl grou… Show more

“…In addition to water, organic liquids like ethylene glycol also respond favorably to temperature in terms of electrical production. In accordance with Figure 6c–e, M. Feng et al [ 40 ] built a reversible thermosensitive liquid–solid TENG (L‐S TENG) based on another temperature‐sensitive material P(NIPAM‐MMA) (PNM) copolymer in order to achieve tunable triboelectrification. The interfacial wettability and triboelectricity of PNM modify the conformation between the acylamino and isopropyl groups through temperature modulation.…”

“…Compared with other electricity generation technologies, the inherent advantages of water-driven electricity generator are impressive, which can obtain energy from abundant water resources [23,[126][127][128][129][130]. Based on the unique interaction between solid and liquid, and material deformability, the waterdriven electricity generator can be used as sensors [131][132][133][134], wearable/implant electricity generator [135][136][137], or self-powered electronics [138][139][140][141][142].…”
