Over the last few decades, the annual global incidence of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) has steadily increased. Because of the complex and inconsistent treatment of GEP-NETs, the prognosis of patients with GEP-NETs is still difficult to assess.
