Abstract:Spurious fluctuations in the normal mean daily temperatures for ten Canadian stations are filtered out, using weighted running means. The filtered curves reveal cycles of temperature peaks at intervals of about 17 days. An attempt is made to relate these cycles to the index cycles of the atmospheric general circulation.
