Abstract: Introduction: Cataract extraction is the most frequently performed ophthalmological procedure worldwide. Posterior capsule opacification (PCO) remains the most common consequence after cataract surgery and can lead to deterioration of the visual performance with cloudy, blurred vision and halo, glare effects.
