Abstract:Bacterial fruit blotch (BFB) caused by <i>Paracidovorax citrulli</i> is a devastating disease in cucurbit hosts such as watermelon. <i>P. citrulli</i> is a seed-borne pathogen, and contaminated seeds are the primary inoculum.
