A Novel Approach to Visualize Liquid Aluminum Flow to Advance Casting Science

Abstract: Turbulent filling of molten metal in sand-casting leads to bi-films, porosity and oxide inclusions which results in poor mechanical properties and high scrap rate of sand castings.
