A novel colorimetric immunosensor based on platinum colloid nanoparticles immobilized on PowerVision as signal probes and Fe3O4@β‐cyclodextrin as capture probes for ractopamine detection in pork

Abstract: Background A novel colorimetric immunosensor was developed for the simple, sensitive and selective detection of ractopamine (RAC) based on using β‐cyclodextrin‐modified Fe3O4 particles (Fe3O4@β‐CD) as capture probes and complex platinum colloid nanoparticles (PtNPs‐PV) composed of platinum colloid nanoparticles (PtNPs) and polymerase chelate PowerVision (PV) as signal probes. Results PtNPs‐PV double catalyzed the chromogenic substrate 3,3′‐diaminobenzidine (DAB), which induced changes in the color of DAB and c… Show more

“…β 2 -adrenergic receptor agonists (β2-agonists) is a drug group which is usually used for the treatment of pulmonary diseases in animals [81,82]. However, they can promote animal growth and increase feed efficiency by enhancing protein accretion and reducing fat deposition producing "lean meats" [82][83][84].…”

The use of this drug group in veterinary medicine is illegal since prolonged consumption of residues in animal-derived products can cause headache, chest tightness, nausea, and more.…”

“…Furfural and 5-hydroxymethylfurfural are the most important platform chemicals which could be derived from hemicellulose and cellulose via hydrolysis and subsequent dehydration (Mika et al, 2018;Hui et al, 2019;Luo et al, 2019;Chen et al, 2021;Shi et al, 2021). Due to their diverse double bonds, that is, C O and C C, FF and HMF could be further converted into different valuable chemicals (Sharma et al, 2013;Fulajtárova et al, 2015;Sun et al, 2019;Herrera et al, 2020;Zhu et al, 2020). Especially, because of the wide applications of furfuryl alcohol (FFA) and 2,5dihydroxymethylfuran (DHMF) on resins and farm chemicals (Gandini, 1990;Gandini, 2010), the selective conversion of FF/HMF to FFA/DHMF has received much interests.…”
