A Novel Deception-Based Scheme to Secure the Location Information for IoBT Entities

Abstract: The Internet of Battlefield Things (IoBT) is a subdomain of the Internet of Things (IoT) that applies to a battlefield. Due to the limited communication infrastructure, the entities in the battlefield communicate with each other using Device-2-Device (D2D) communication. D2D is used to send and request extremely sensitive data as well as the location information of other entities. Thus, to execute tasks and avoid information leaks, it is critical to protect the location data of soldiers and equipment. To the b… Show more

“…A trust model crafted to determine the level of trust and whether sharing data can significantly enhance data protection in IoBT networks [101]. Furthermore, deception-based schemes can be employed to enhance the location information security of IoBT nodes, as well as novel encryption methods for securing sensitive data [102]. By implementing these advanced security measures, the IoBT industry can effectively safeguard missioncritical information, ultimately contributing to the success of military operations [103].…”

“…Regression is related to predicting the numerical value output based on unobservable data. The supervised learning approach is heavily reliant on labeled datasets that can be utilized to train algorithms to accurately classify data or predict outcomes [ 11 , 12 , 13 ]. The objective of the ML algorithm is to identify patterns and build mathematical models.…”
