Abstract:Dynamic radiators are thermal control systems that are able to vary emitting surface area or surface properties in order to control the amount of heat rejected. These systems are often used onboard spacecraft where large fluctuations in heat dissipation can exist. This work explores the performance of a dynamic spacecraft radiator design with annular geometry where the fin is concealed within a satellite architecture and then is deployed as additional heat rejection is required. The performance criteria analyz… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
