“…This work reports the pK a and D values of 21 WAs that can be found in our laboratory, including six VFAs (formic, acetic, propionic, butyric, valeric, and lactic acids), six bioproducts (pyruvic, gluconic, tartaric, oxalic, glyceric, and malic acids), two acidic amino acids (glutamic and aspartic acids), three synthetic organic acids (benzoic, malonic, and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acids (EDTA)), and four inorganic acids (phosphoric, phosphorus, sulfurous, and nitrous acids). Of these WAs, the acetic, benzoic, and phosphoric acids were measured previously, 25 and the remaining 18 acids were measured in this study. The buffer solutions for each acid were prepared using analytically pure sodium salts.…”
