A Novel Energy Efficient Threshold Based Algorithm for Wireless Body Sensor Network

Abstract: Wireless body sensor networks (WBSNs) monitor the changes within the human body by having continuous interactions within the nodes in the body network. Critical issues with these continuous interactions include the limited energy within the node and the nodes becoming isolated from the network easily when it fails. Moreover, when the node’s burden increases because of the failure of other nodes, the energy utilization as well as the heat dissipated increases much more, causing damage to the network as well as … Show more

“…For instance, several application scenarios are associated with the design of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) incorporating an energy-saving mechanism based on the N-policy. This policy has been recommended for WSNs, for example, in [31][32][33][34][35][36].…”

“…Unfortunately, all of the models from [37][38][39][40][41][42][43] lack the active management component, which is central here. The AQM component is also absent in all the studies conducted so far on models of a sensor node with the N-policy, [31][32][33][34][35][36].…”

“…In FPLE, 166 the authors addressed the optimal node scheduling and improved network lifetime, which provides increased throughput and better results when compared with other protocols, but the postural body movements are not considered and do not investigate fault tolerance of the network. In HDRP‐WBSN, 167 the authors designed a protocol to control packets in WBANs, which provides high PDR and less delay, and performance is high but does not consider security aspects and emergency support.…”
