Abstract: Objective: The blood pressure (BP) response to salt intake (salt sensitivity) shows great variability among individuals and is more frequent in hypertensive patients. Elevated levels of the steroid hormone Endogenous Ouabain (EO) are associated with hypertension (HT) and salt sensitivity.
