the losses included in the dispersion models decreased the peak value of those resonances. It is worth remarking that it was shown that the present electrically small DPS-DNG structures, in contrast to the corresponding DPS-DPS structures, possess features that are similar to those associated with an electrically large radiator or scatterer. When the size of the MTM-coated cylinder was large enough for the wavelength-sized natural resonances to occur, it was shown that both the DPS-DNG and DPS-DPS structures had similar resonant enhancements of the total power, even for the ELS being located on the axis of the cylinders.Other interesting applications of the present electrically small MTM structures, such as the possibility of reshaping the directivity and possibilities for obtaining directive electrically small antennas, have been considered. The results of these investigations will be presented elsewhere in the near future.
