A novel rRNA hybridization-based approach to rapid, accurate Candida identification directly from blood culture

Abstract: Invasive fungal infections are increasingly common and carry high morbidity and mortality, yet fungal diagnostics lag behind bacterial diagnostics in rapidly identifying the causal pathogen.
