Abstract: Mucopolysaccharidosis type IVA (MPS IVA; Morquio syndrome type A) is an autosomal recessive disorder caused by defects in the lysosomal hydrolase N‐acetylgalactosamine‐6‐sulfatase (GALNS) gene, leading to progressive systemic skeletal dysplasia.
