Abstract:This paper proposes a design of symmetric block cipher algorithm using key-dependent permutations. The main objective is to develop a robust symmetric encryption algorithm resistant to linear and differential attacks. The design resembles Fiestel structure but uses dynamically generated permutation and substitution tables in each round during encryption process to achieve good confusion and diffusion. Plain texts of various sizes are subjected to the algorithm 1984 Arulmani Kuppusamy et al. and the results obt… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
