“…But when milling continued due to the existence of hard synthesized carbide which acts as very small ball, crystals became finer. 26 Since heating accelerated production of titanium carbide, crystalline sizes were decreased by increasing temperature in 15 h of milling. In other words, the amount of effective synthesized carbide phase led to decrease in crystalline size with increasing temperature.…”

“…It was observed that a decrease in the particle size and molecular weight of the copolymer effectively absorbs or allows high acidification and increases the segmental motion of ions, respectively. Due to simultaneous synthesis of WC and W 2 C phases in most of the synthesis processes and lower mechanical properties of W 2 C than WC, M.Razavi et al [130] synthesized nano-crystalline WC single phase by means of mechanical alloying. In this process the raw materials containing W and C with WC were milled in a planetary ball mill and the sampling was done in different times.…”

“…[10,11] However, W 2 C was considered as metastable phase of tungsten carbide and always synthesizes together with plenty of WC or other tungsten carbides. [12] And WC or W 2 C was prepared by intermittent microwave heating, [13] electron beam induced deposition, [14] eutectic solidification, [15] electro-discharge, [16] chemical synthesis, [17] temperatureprogrammed carburization, [18] dc arc discharge plasma CVD, [19] or carbothermal reduction, [20] etc. However, large scale, nano-sized, ingredient and shape-controllable WC or W 2 C is still hard to prepare.…”
