A Novel Three-Fold Interpenetrating Three-Dimensional Co(II) Coordination Polymer Based on Flexible Bistriazole Ligand: Synthesis, Structure and Magnetic Properties

Abstract: A three-fold interpenetrating three-dimensional Co(II) coordination polymer, [Co(BTB)3(BF4)2]n (1) [BTB = 1,4-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-butane] has been prepared and characterized through IR, elemental analysis, thermal analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Singlecrystal X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that complex 1 is 3-fold interpenetrating α-polonium cubic network. In addition, complex 1 exhibits very weak antiferromagnetic coupling between Co(II) ions in low temperature.
