A partial-wave analysis of the neutral 3π system produced in the reaction π−p → (π+π−π0) n at 12 and 15 GeV/c

In this work, we study the high-spin states with mass below 3 GeV observed in experiments and the analysis of mass spectrum and investigation of strong decay behaviors of the high-spin states are performed. Comparing our results with the experimental data, we can reveal the underlying properties of these high-spin states. What is more important is that in this work we also predict their abundant decay features, which can provide valuable information to further experimental exploration of these high-spin states.

A partial wave analysis of the 332-system has been performed for the reaction n+p -+ (n+z-no) A++ (1232) at 1G GeV/c. Beside the well-established A2 (1300), the resonant state w* with isospin I = 0 and spin-parity J p = 3-decaying mainly into (en) hae been found. Its mass and width have been determined to be M = (1.71 f 0.03) GeV and r = (0.22 & 0.10) GeV. The cross section for the reaction n+p --z w* (1700) A++ (1232) is u = (12 & 6) kb. Eine Partialwellenanalyse der Reaktion z+ p-+(n+n-#)d + + bei 16 GeV/c Strahlimpuls Inhaltsubersicht. Fur die Reaktion n+p += (rc+n-d) A++ (1232) wurde bei 16 GeV/c eine Partialwellenanalyae des Dreipionsystems durchgefuhrt. Neben der gutbekannten Resonanz A: (1300) wurde der Reaonanzzustand w* mit Isospin I = 0 und Spinparitiit J p = 3-in seinem Hauptzerfallskanal (en) gefunden. Masse und Breite wurden zu M = (1.71 0,03) GeV und r = (0.22 & 0,lO) GeV bestimmt. Der Wirkungsquerschnitt fur die Reaktion , +p + w* (1700) A++ (1233) betriigt u = (12 -J = 6) pb.
