“…This ordinary emulsion requires the input of high mechanical energy, such as high-speed shear, in industrial preparations. 14,15 EW causes flocculation, coalescence, stratification, and other unstable phenomena because of the large diameter and wide distribution of the droplets. These factors critically influence the physicochemical properties of the products and pest control effects.…”

“…Pickering emulsions are known to spontaneously disperse small droplets of two immiscible liquids stabilized by solid nano-and micro-particles (silica, triacylglycerols, soft polymers, or clay) adsorbed at the interface. Pickering emulsions show excellent properties as to encapsulate any substance, to regulate the emulsion consistency by changing the solid concentration, and to get porous materials and special rheological behavior [37][38][39][40]. Dai et al enhanced the stabilization of Pickering emulsion by using silica nanoparticles (SNP) in dimethyldodecylamine oxide (OA-12) and explained the dynamic behaviors of interface and the hydrophilic-lipophilic balance of particle surfaces [41].…”

“…Emulsions are categorized into two types: oil-inwater (O/W) and water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions [26]. Oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions have many important industrial applications covering different aspects in food [27], pharmaceuticals [28], petrochemicals [29], cosmetics [30] and agrochemicals [23,31]. Agrochemical oil-in-water emulsion (EW) is a formulation in which waterinsoluble liquid pesticides or organic solvents containing dissolved solid pesticides are dispersed as small droplets in water to form oilin-water emulsions by adding suitable surfactants and energy [32].…”
