In the last few decades, humans have consumed more resources than in all of previous history. Hence, we are living in times in which the topic of environmental protection is a global concern. The paper aims to conduct a systematic literature review on consumer behavior, as well as identifying the main factors that interfere with consumer behavior toward green products. A total of 37 studies were found and systematized using inclusion and exclusion criteria. The papers were selected only if they featured research on consumer perceptions of green products. Using this search strategy, a literature analysis was performed based on papers extracted from Web of Science, Emerald Insights, Springer Link, and Science Direct. As a result, various factors that influence consumer behavior toward green products were identified, such as social norms, natural environmental orientation, the company’s perceived green image, green product characteristics, perceived risks and inconvenience of buying green products, perceived benefits of buying green products, institutional trust, sociodemographic characteristics, and consumer confidence. Even though completing a systematic literature review is not something new in academic research, the novelty of this paper is found in its theme: consumer behavior toward green products. Although the analyzed articles highlight quite varied reasons, the articles emphasize that the green products should take into account the needs, expectations, and perceptions of customers.

The increasing globalization and information communication associated with commerce are confronted with the risk experienced over the years in the various production sectors of the economies. The research studied the influence of ICTs capital goods exports, industrial value addition, transportation energy, and globalization on insurance & financial services in a panel of 29 selected European and Central Asian nations. The research spanned from 2012 to 2021 and used a Panel quantile regression model. It was shown that insurance and financial services increased dramatically between the 0.40th and 0.90th quantiles due to technological progress. In addition, for quantiles between 0.10th and 0.90th, industrial value added is positively correlated with increased insurance and financial services. Quantile 0.10t show a negative and significant association between transportation energy and insurance risks. In contrast, quantiles between 0.40th and 0.90th show a positive and significant relationship, indicating a U-shaped relationship between these two variables. The causality findings validated the technology-led industrialization and transportation energy, while a bidirectional association was identified between globalization and transportation energy across nations. The variance decomposition results suggested that industrial value added, globalization, and technological advancement would exert greater variance shocks on the insurance and financial services sector over time. The study concludes that the progression of technology contributes to the maintenance of insurance performance in the age of globalization. This performance might be enhanced by developing more effective transportation energy services and industrial production.

Aviation emissions originated from the fuel burn have been hot topics by engineers and policy-makers due to their harmful effects on the environment and thereby human health as well as sustainability. In this study, it is tried that several emission indexes (EIs) involving CO, HC and NOx as well as fuel flow of several commercial aircraft engines (CAEs) are predicted using support vector regression (SVR) and long short-term memory (LSTM) approaches for take-off phase. Moreover, exergo-environmental parameters involving exergy efficiency (ExEFF), wasted exergy ratio (WExR) and environmental effect factor (EEF) pertinent to CAEs are computed employing thermodynamics laws. While establishing the models, rated thrust, by-pass ratio, overall pressure ratio and combustion type of the CAEs are utilized as the model inputs. According to the findings of emission modelling, the coefficient of determination ( R 2 ) of EI NOx and EI CO of the CAEs is found as 0.929074 and 0.960277 with SVR, whereas their R 2 values are elevated to 0.954878 and 0.989283 with LSTM approach, respectively. However, R 2 of EI HC is determined lower with 0.632280 (by SVR) and 0.651749 (by LSTM). On the other hand, exergo-environmental parameters for the CAEs are estimated with high correctness at both models. Namely, R 2 of ExEFF and EEF regarding the CAEs are computed as 0.991748 and 0.989067 by SVR; however, these are calculated as 0.994785 and 0.992797 by LSTM method. To model these parameters with low error by using significant design variables as model inputs could help in predicting emission and environmental metrics for new engine designs.
