A positive correlation between daily spiritual practice and reduced depressive symptoms among older adults: evidence from a nationally representative survey among the Indian population

Abstract: Background This study explored the factors associated with daily spiritual experiences of older adults and the association of daily spiritual experiences with major depressive disorder among older Indian adults. Methods Data for this study were derived from the Longitudinal Ageing Study in India (LASI) wave‐1. The sample size was 31 464 older adults age 60 years and above.
