There are certain contexts, where we would like to analyze the behavior of small interacting systems, such as sports teams. While large interacting systems have drawn much attention in the past years, let it be physical systems of interacting particles or social networks, small systems are short of appropriate quantitative modeling and measurement tools. We propose a simple procedure for analyzing a small system through the degree in which its behavior at different granularity levels (e.g., dyads) non-linearly diverges from the simple additive behavior of its sub-units. For example, we may model the behavior of a soccer team by measuring the extent to which the behavior changes when we move from individual players to dyads, triads, and so on. In this paper, we address the challenge of modeling small systems in terms of measuring divergence from additivity at different granularity levels of the system. We present and develop a measure for quantifying divergence from additivity through what we term a Relative Entropy Lattice, and illustrate its benefits in modeling the behavior of a specific small system, a soccer team, using data from the English Premier League. Our method has practical implications too, such as allowing the coach to identify ''hidden'' weak spots in the team's behavior.

complex social systems at various scales of analysis (e.g. dyads, families, tribes, etc.) are formed and maintained through verbal interactions. Therefore, the ability to (1) model these interactions and (2) to use models of interaction for identifying significant relations may be of interest to the social sciences. Adopting the perspective of social physics, we present a general approach for modeling interactions through relative entropy. For illustrating the benefits of the approach, we derive measures of "perspective-taking" and use them for identifying significant-romantic relations in a data set composed of the verbal interactions taken place at the famous tV series "Sex and the city". Using these measures, we show that significant-romantic relations can be identified with success. These results provide preliminary support for the benefits of using the proposed approach.Interactions are the hallmark of complex systems 1 but in the social context, interactions are totally different from those evident among the particles of non-living matter 2 . This difference calls into question the general meaning of the term "interaction" and points to the need to better understand social interactions while still using physics as "point de repère". In trying to address this challenge, one must be careful in bridging the gap between physics and the social sciences, as these two fields are not theoretically aligned and there is always the danger of using misleading analogies. In this context, one should also recall that in the social sciences the concept of interaction has been mostly used in a very general sense, covering a huge variety of instances from hugging to arguing. While there are some good reasons for this variety, it seems that it may be useful to use a general and physically motivated concept of interaction together with measures that are clearly derived from it. Adopting such an approach, may be relevant for the task of identifying significant relations/interactions. Not all social interactions are significant to the same extent and being able to identify significant interactions may be of interest both from a purely theoretical perspective and from a practical perspective (e.g. the development of interactive technologies such as Chatbots).The aim of the current paper is to introduce a general conceptualization of interaction which is accompanied by operationalization through the use of relative entropy.

Kabupaten sumedang merupakan daerah yang sangat identik dengan tahu, kuliner khas daerah tersebut. Tahu sumedang tidak hanya menjadi kuliner di kabupaten sumedang, tetapi juga menjadi bagian integral dari sektor perekonomian masyarakat, terutama dalam sektor industri tahu. Perkembangan industri tahu di kabupaten sumedang pada awalnya dipelopori oleh perusahaan industri tahu pertama, yaitu industri tahu bungkeng. Industri tahu bungkeng dirintis pada awal tahun 1900 oleh Ong Ki No, kemudian mulai dikembangkan pada tahun 1917 oleh putranya yang bernama Ong Bung Keng. Pada tahun 1958, pengelolaannya diturunkan kepada Ong Yu Kim, anak dari Ong Bung Keng dan sejak tahun 1995 hingga saat ini, dikelola oleh Ong Che Ciang (Suriadi). Industri tahu bungkeng adalah salah satu Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) yang saat ini telah memiliki dua cabang. Cabang pertama berada di Jalan 11 April Nomor 53 dan cabang kedua berada di Jalan Mayor Abdurachman Nomor 70 dan 136. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejarah dan perkembangan industri tahu bungkeng di Kabupaten Sumedang dari tahun 1990 hingga tahun 2000. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian sejarah menurut kuntowijoyo. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa terdapat perkembangan yang signifikan pada industri tahu Bungkeng dari tahun 1990-2000, di mana alat produksi yang digunakan untuk membuat tahu Bungkeng sudah semi otomatis. Misalnya, alat manual yang digunakan untuk menggiling kedelai diganti menjadi mesin giling diesel. Dalam proses produksi, terutama proses pembakaran penggunaan minyak tanah diganti menjadi bahan bakar solar dan uap. Pengaruh industri tahu bungkeng di Kabupaten Sumedang memberikan dampak positif bagi perekonomian masyarakat setempat, karena dapat membuka kesempatan usaha dan lapangan pekerjaan.
