A Prospective Study on Risk Factors of Iron Deficiency Anemia in Pregnant Women and Their Management

Abstract: Objective: Iron deficiency anemia during pregnancy leads to preterm birth, low birth weight and increases the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) and the reason for the incidence of PPH is higher in India compared with the rest of the world. In this study, our main goal was to find out the risk factors and complications of iron deficiency anemia and their management in pregnant women. Methods: It is a prospective study done at Obstetrics and Gynecology Department in Government District Headquarters … Show more

“…Also, the strong absorption band observed in the free ligand L 2 at 1641 cm −1 was assigned to ν(C=N) mode, which is found shifted to lower wavenumber of 1623 cm −1 in the spectra of the [Mn(L 2 )Cl 2 ] n complex. [ 37–39 ] In addition, the latter showed two intense bands at 750 and 687 cm −1 due to in‐plane and out‐of‐plane ring deformation that appeared at lower frequencies of 782 and 742 cm −1 in the spectrum of L 2 implying a good indication on the coordination of the pyridine nitrogen. [ 39 ] In the low frequency region, the coordination to the Mn(II) center is confirmed by detecting two bands at 456 cm −1 and 559 cm −1 , which, respectively, assigned to ν (Mn‐N) and ν (Mn‐Cl).…”
