This paper deals with the simulation verification of balancing systems with different numbers of batteries. There is a simulation model of the battery with adjustable inputs and a simulation model of flyback converter. These components are interconnected and controlled externally to ensure balancing of individual cells. The batteries are connected in series and a flyback converter is connected to each battery. The outputs of these inverters are connected to the output of all the batteries. So, one can say that this balancing system is designed to lighten the charger. The results of the simulations show the voltage, current and State of Charge (SoC) of the batteries. Simulation models are presented in diagrams. These models were created in the PLECS environment.

Wireless power transfer (WPT) technology has been widely applied to automobile industries, household electronics and medical devices because of its many advantages. The hybrid battery charging scheme, which combines constant voltage (CV) and constant current (CC), is considered to be quite reasonable in view of the limitations of the conventional CC/CV implementation scheme. In this study, based on the inductance and double capacitances-series (LCC-S) compensation topology, a switching hybrid topology is proposed for CC/CV electric vehicle (EV) battery charging. The topology parameters are designed according to the specified CV and zero phase angle (ZPA). In the CC charging mode, two additional capacitances are added to the topology for CC and ZPA implementation. Based on the proposed weak communication, the CC and CV charging mode can be converted via two AC switches (ACSs). The proposed hybrid system provides a simple structure, easy controllability, and stable output. A 2.5-kW experimental prototype is configured to verify the proposed hybrid charger. The maximum DC efficiencies (at 2.5-kW) of the CC and CV charging modes are 89.28% and 88.33%, respectively. A small-signal model is established for the basic constant voltage (CV) flyback converter firstly. Then the phase margin and the bandwidth, which can reflect the system stability and rapidity, are deduced through transfer function. The parameters affecting the stability of the system can be obtained by the model's derivation to confirm the appropriate external capacitance value. To improve the precision of CV, the compensation of cable is implemented through the module of irrigation current, pulling down the output voltage under any load conditions to the value of it with the maximal load. The prototype for the proposed CV converter has been fabricated in an MXIC 0.8 μm L80A1 process. The minimal static power consumption measured by a test is only 40 mW. In the CV mode, the precision of the output voltage can reach the level of ±1.5%. Therefore, the proposed control chip has a promising application in low power CV AC-DC flyback converter.
