A rare case of post endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography bleeding: Visceral arterial aneurysms

Abstract: Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) leading to arterial vascular complication is exceedingly rare. This case report describes a life threatening hemobilia, from a pseudoaneurysm of the pancreaticoduodenal artery, which occurred post ERCP. The pseudoaneurysm was diagnosed by selective angiography of the superior mesenteric artery, and successfully treated with polyvinyl alcohol particle embolization.
