“…Vey similarly, the groups of Guo and of Cao also developed coumarin-thiazole hybrid compounds 226 311 and 227. 312 In compound 226, the thiazole moiety was connected at the 8position of coumarin. The reaction between the sensor and bisulfite anion caused 1220-fold ratiometric fluorescence increase (F 460 /F 600 ) and simultaneously yielded a visible color change from purplish red to colorless in a Na 2 HPO 4 / citric acid buffer containing MeOH (MeOH/buffer 1/1 v/v).…”

“…Some conventional analysis techniques for the detection of bisul te have been developed, such as spectrophotometry [24,25], chemiluminescence measurements [26,27], chromatography [28], electrochemistry [29,30], and phosphorimetry [31]. However, the detection process of these methods is more complicated, and some of them are not sensitive enough.…”

“…[43][44][45] Therefore, it is highly desirable to develop a novel uorescent probe for biological samples. Many uorescent probes have previously been reported in the literature, 43,44,[46][47][48][49][50] however, improvements are required for some properties. Therefore, an ideal uorescent probe for in vivo bisulte detection is still needed.…”
