In our work, channel estimation-oriented access control scheme has been investigated. In the system, each user estimates the channel based on the power which the user receives from other users, and then decides whether to transmit the packet or refrain from transmission with a certain probability. However, each user can not estimate the channel completely. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the influence of channel estimation error. It is found that the throughput performance is influenced by the channel estimation error. It is also found that the throughput performance of the system with the access control scheme is better that of the conventional system even though we consider the channel estimation error.

“…We proposed the nonorthogonal Code Shift Keying (CSK)/SS random access system to improve the throughput of DS/SS random access system [10] [11]. We also proposed the received power adaptive access control scheme to improve the CSK/SS random access system to reduce the amount of MAI [13].…”
The advanced wireless communications such as the sensor networks and ad-hoc networks requires the communications system that is flexible about the transmission power control and robust over multiple access interference. We have showed that the throughput of Code Shift Keying (CSK) random access network is high with the transmission power control. However, it is difficult to use transmission power control into the communication between users. This paper presents the throughput performance of the CSK random access network without transmission power control by theoretical analysis. This paper also presents the effect of dynamic assignment of PN sequence. In particular, we derive the throughput when each user select one of the plural PN sequences randomly. Consequently, the throughput of CSK random access network is better than that of the conventional system.

While nonorthogonality degrades the robustness against interference between sequences, BER performance of this system improves by increasing the number of sequences.…”

“…The throughput performance is evaluated when varying M con . In [5], we assumed that the number of interfering packets is constant during the packet transmission (Perfect Capture). Actually, the number of interfering packets fluctuates during the packet transmission.…”
In this paper, the throughput performance of the Code Shift Keying Spread Spectrum Multiple Access (CSK/SSMA) ALOHA system which combines the ALOHA system with CSK using nonorthogonal sequences is analyzed by non-perfect capture. The throughput performance of the CSK/SSMA ALOHA system with nonorthogonal sequences is evaluated when varying the number of concatenations because the nonorthogonal sequences are constructed by concatenating Mcon orthogonal sequences. Moreover, the effect of Channel Load Sensing Protocol (CLSP) is examined. Consequently, the throughput performance varies according to Mcon and the throughput performance improves considerably by using CLSP.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
