Abstract: Northeastern region of India is endowed with variety of local vegetables that are highly nutritious and health-promoting. One of which is Solanum aethiopicum L which has a bountiful source of nutrients and bioactive chemicals. It has several pharmacological benefits and are used in indigenous medicine to treat various conditions.
