Abstract:Abstract. The 10-m optical reflector at Mt. Hopkins, Ariz., was used to search for cosmic y radiation from pulsars by detection of atmospheric Cerenkov light generated by energetic particle showers. In the energy region of 10 n -10 12 eV, no evidence of pulsed y-ray emission was found from either NP0532 (Crab Nebula) or CP1133.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
