A Semiotic Study of Content in Exordial Forms of Space Representation in Organic Chemistry in The Late 19th Century

Abstract: In this study we present, for the first time in the literature, a semiotic analysis concerning the forms of use of pictorial diagrams with square shapes and their physical molds, used by August Hofmann in a set of lectures, during the period he was in Great Britain teaching at Royal College.
