A signaling based approach to broadband service control. Application to access signaling

Abstract: This paper describes a new signaling based approach for the implementation of a control plane for the B-ISDN network. A control architecture is developed, with a separation between service session, access session and call. This architecture provides the guidelines for the definition of signaling protocols.
