Abstract:Bacterial endotoxins (lipopolysaccharides (LPSs)) are important mediators of inflammatory processes induced by Gram-negative microorganisms. LPSs are the key inducers of septic shock due to a Gram-negative bacterial infection; thus, the structure and functions of LPSs are of specific interest.
